We are pleased to announce that the video of our fellow student Dimitris Dermetzopoulos was selected and passed the top 23 videos of the IEEE SmartGgridComm competition. The videos went through a panel that would evaluate whether they were eligible for the competition. 23 videos went to the final and after the vote 3 videos will be featured in the final.
The winner will be announced at the IEEE SmartGridComm 2013 community. Watch and vote the video.
For your information, 15 are from India and the rest from other countries including Greece with only one participation from the Department of Computer Engineering of Kastoria.
About the Contest: On June 25th the IEEE SmartGgridComm community announced the launch of a contest where interested people were required to submit a 3-minute video presenting a new, non-technical detail that could be implemented in the future to help develop the smart grid. The submission of the videos ended in late August.
