On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, 12:00 at Auditorium 2, a lecture entitled \”From Smartphones to CPS: Machine learning-powered personalized intrusion detection\” will take place. The lecture will be conducted by the Assistant Professor of the Computer Science Department of the Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, USA. Damopoulos Dimitrios.

The lecture is aimed at informing students and the public about the evolution of cyber-attacks, malware, and intelligent protection mechanisms and IDS based on mechanical learning. Cyber Physical System (CPS) will also be featured on the Internet of Things. The presentation will be completed with the use of IDS as the central system core that enhances mechanical learning, human behavior and behavior within Cyber Security.

Professor Damopoulos will inform students about the ways in which they can continue their career after completing their studies. Mr. Damopoulos, a graduate of the Department of Informatics Engineering, is currently a professor and is engaged in the most up-to-date and interesting IT issues.
