Denial of Genocide – Denial of Memory? Commemorative events

Two languages, one dialect, three levels of Education and two associations, respond through the dramatic poetry of Sophocles\’ \”Antigone\”, \”Vatrachon\” by Aristophanes and \”Midea\” by Evripides and translated into the Pontian dialect by the Professor of Sociology and of Behavioral Sciences t. Member of the Management Committee of the University of Western Macedonia mr. Theodoros Efst. Konstantinides and the late Neurosurgeon and Poet Christos Antoniadis, to the question: \”Deny of Genocontum – Refuse of Memory?\”. The association of Pontian Students of Kozani and the Association of Pontian Students of Kastoria \”the Akrites\”, on the occasion of the Anniversary Events of Rememberance for the May 19th European Rememberance Day for the victims of Kemalism and for the 29th of May, Fall of Constantinople under the auspices of the University of Applied Sciences of Western Macedonia two-day events at the Foundation\’s grand auditorium on 27 May in Kastoria and 29 May in Kozani respectively. The readings of Mr. Konstantinides \”Antigone\” and \”Vatrachoi\” translated into the Pontian dialect will be presented in Kastoria by Theologist-Philologist and former Coordinator of the Kastoria Philologists, Mr. Emmanuel Koutsiantis, while extracts will be read by the professor of the High School of Argos Orestiko and President of \”Alexandros Makridis\” and the professor of the 1st High School of Kastoria, Mr. Theodoros Papadopoulos. The director of secondary education PE of Kozani Mrs Vassiliki Votsa, will present Mr. Konstantinides\’ songs in Kozani, while the excerpts of the works will be read by the Director of the Primary School of Drepanos, mr. Nikolaos Adamidis. Also, the Second Chronicle will be read from the translation of the \”Medeia\” in the Pontian dialect of the late Professor of Neurosurgery, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and poet Christos Antoniades, whom daughter Ioanna has offered for the event. In addition, extracts from his speeches will be heard at the two events that took place at the TEI of Western Macedonia in Kozani with topics related to poetry and poetry in tragedy in the Pontian dialect in 2010 an 2012. And as innovation is the demand of the era, neither of these events will disappear because mr. Th. Konstantinides will highlight the relationship of Ancient Greek Language with the Latin and the Pontian dialect in the unique way that music supports. And in this \”triphonic – trilingual musical journey\” the contribution of the Pontian Lyra Master Nikolaos Koutalides with the Musical Figure of his twenty (20) pupils and Mr. Tassos Parcharides in singing on stage will be unique. The \”notes\” of the \”Frontistiriou\” containing the lyrics from the Chorus of the three works, the Pontian songs and the translations in Ancient Greek, the Pontian dialect and the Latin Language by Mr. Th. Konstantinides and Ch.
