We are delighted to announce that the Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) group of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Western Macedonia, Kastoria is now an official IEEE Student Branch Chapter (SBC11281, established on 10 December 2024) — the first IEEE CIS student chapter in Greece.
The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society focuses on artificial intelligence, neural networks, machine learning, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation. As an official chapter, our members gain access to CIS activities, resources and networking opportunities at an international level.
Congratulations to all the members of the group for their hard work, creativity and dedication. Stay tuned — new activities are on the way!
The chapter’s first project is GNOSIS, a digital assistant for the students of our Department based on a Greek language model — read more in our Portfolio.
