The conference entitled “Learning at Home & Computer Education” was held with great success on Thursday, May 7 at 16:30. The event was co-organized by the Regional Directorate of Education of Western Macedonia, the University of Western Macedonia and the Laboratory of Telecommunications, Networks and Distributed Systems of the Department of Informatics of the University of Western Macedonia.
The beginning of the teleconference was announced by the Regional Director of the Region of Western Macedonia, Mr. Mardiris Theodoros, while the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Zacharaki Sofia. This was followed by greetings from the Rector of the University of Western Macedonia Mr. Theodoulidis Theodoros, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs of the University of Western Macedonia Mrs. Spyrtos Anna and the Director of the Laboratory of Telecommunications, Networks and Distribution. Μ.Σ. Advanced Information Technologies and Services Mr. Michala Angelos. The meeting was chaired and chaired by the Coordinator of the Educational Project of Informatics of Western Macedonia, Mr. Tzimas Dimitris.
The program included the presentations of Chytiris Christos Informatics MSc on the environment of modern distance education Cisco WebEx, Gola Cleopatra Informatics MSc on the environment of asynchronous distance education “e-class”, Fasoula Georgia as a graduate student of Informatics on the creation of an educational game with Scratch programming language, by Mourtzoukos Athanasios, a graduate student of the Department of Informatics on the introduction to the Python programming language through repl.it and Elena Zygouri, Ph.D., M.ed., TEU PE 70 3rd Unit PEKES West. Of Macedonia on the Pedagogical and Teaching Framework – educational material and activities.
The conference was watched by over 500 users, through the YouTube Channel and the Zoom video conferencing platform, lasted over 4 hours and received many positive comments from the participants.
