We are pleased to inform you that the IEEE Student Branch of the Department of Informatics of the University of Western Macedonia in Kastoria for the third consecutive year received the IEEE Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award 2020.
The IEEE Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award is one of the largest awards given each year to IEEE student branches worldwide, which have achieved the goals of the Institute by making the best use of technology for the benefit of humanity. To achieve these goals, the student body organized technological activities aimed at promoting new technologies for both students of the Department of Informatics and the local community.
For this award we would like to thank the University of Western Macedonia, the Department of Informatics and our Counselor Professor Angelos Michalas who is by our side all these years supporting our actions.
In addition, we would like to thank Ms. Nadia Nikita, President of the IEEE Greece Section, for her continued support as well as her support for this year’s awards.
Finally, we would like to thank the board of directors and the members of the student body who with their will and actions were the driving force for this international distinction.
