The IEEE Student Branch of the Department of Informatics of the University of Western Macedonia in Kastoria celebrated the establishment of the global technology organization IEEE with the event IEEE Day 2021, Kastoria. The subject of the event was “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow” worldwide.
The event took place online on Friday October 15th 2021 via Zoom. The event began with the welcome of the participants by Anastasiou Christos, the Chairperson of the Student Branch, who also presented the activities of the Student Branch. Furthermore, Gkola Cleopatra presented the activities of the Affinity Group Women in Engineering. Finally, a presentation about the benefits of our laboratory by Thanos Mourtzoukos was held.
In addition to the online event, we had the opportunity to present in the classrooms of the University of Western Macedonia in Kastoria (observing all measures against Covid-19) the activities of our Student Branch, where several students showed interest in their presence.
